What is your favorite part of travel nursing? 

Meeting and working with new people. Gaining new skills.

What is a place on your bucket list for a travel nursing job? 

Hawaii

Tell us about your career history – how did you become a travel nurse?

I was unhappy with the facility I was working in. I became burnt out and needed a change. So far it has been the best decision.

Have you found any sort of community while travel nursing? 

I have found a sense of community with other travel RN’s that I work with. We share stories and tips on travel nursing with one another. I feel like we look out for one another as well.


What are some of your favorite hobbies and activities outside of work? 

I am a book worm so I enjoy reading and relaxing. I love getting outside and enjoying the good weather with my kids. During the summer you can always find me by the water. Pool, beach, river, or lake.
What do you always pack? 

My kindle and comfortable sneakers

Any advice for future travelers? 

Plan ahead and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself

What are your go-to ways to relieve stress?

Reading, meditation, and yoga
