Cardiovascular Tech Job Description
Stability Healthcare is searching for a Cardiovascular Technician that can be highly analytical and knowledgeable about laboratory equipment and biology while also possessing exceptional organizational abilities as well.
The Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for administering diagnostic tests to patients in order to evaluate either their pulmonary or cardiovascular systems. In addition, the Cardiovascular Tech might be responsible for doing electrocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations, pulmonary functions, lung capacity, and other related tests, or they might assist in performing these procedures.
What Does a Cardiovascular Tech Job Scientist Do?
They support Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, and CV Surgeons in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and OR Hybrid Room during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Cardiovascular technicians assist in the preparation of patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as the operation and maintenance of equipment involved with these operations.
They are in charge of monitoring and recording, including the calculation of hemodynamics. Cardiovascular techs participate in activities aimed at improving performance, such as following radiation safety precautions. Patient transportation is a specialty that this person can help with as needed. On-call duties are a part of the job description as well.
Cardiovascular Tech Jobs Skills and Qualifications Requirements
- A course in computer vision technician certification from a recognized CVT training center.
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Cardiovascular monitoring, angiography, and the capacity to become proficient with auxiliary equipment.
- After completing a recognized CVT school’s CVT certification program—or gaining relevant clinical experience using cardiovascular cath monitoring and auxiliary equipment— candidates must have at least one year of CVT/RCIS experience to be considered qualified.
