What is your favorite part of travel nursing?
My favorite part about travel nursing is learning about the different cultures of each community.
What is a place on your bucket list for a travel nursing job?
Hawaii
Tell us about your career history – how did you become a travel nurse?
I have been a nurse for 19 years and about a year before the Pandemic I started thinking about travel nursing. When Covid appeared I thought that it was a good time to try it.
Have you found any sort of community while travel nursing?
A few of my former colleagues went into travel nursing when I did and we currently keep in touch about placement, rates, and how it is going overall.
What are some of your favorite hobbies and activities outside of work?
I love to go to the beach with my family and I enjoy scrapbooking.
What do you always pack?
My phone charger and a book.
Any advice for future travelers?
Keep an open mind and be flexible. Remember you are there to help the facility while they are short-staffed.
