This week we’re excited to feature one of our incredible nurses, Deborah! Travel nursing has brought her across the span of the country from the West Coast to the East. We’re so lucky to have her in the Stability family! Read below for our full interview with Deborah:
What has it been like working during the pandemic?
Very compassionate caring for my patients, giving emotional support. Working together as a team with my coworkers to provide the best patient care. Having strong emotional support from my family and coworkers.
What placements have you had in the past?
I completed assignments in Virginia, Kentucky. Tennessee and California multiple assignments.

What is your career history, how did you become a travel nurse?
I have been a Registered Nurse for 32 years with experince in Medical Surgical, Cardiac Care, Orthopedics and Rehab. Currently and for the last 20 years I have dedicated myself to the Operating Room in which I love. I decided to become a travel nurse to increase my knowledge, experience and travel to different places.
What inspired you to become a travel nurse?
The opportunity to meet new people with common interest in the Operating Room. To become more confident and to increase my skills in the Operating Room.
What is your nursing specialty?
Operating Room for 20 years. I love Trauma, Orthopedics and Neuro.
Favorite hobbies outside of work?
Exploring and enjoying the area where I live and work. Trying new foods, taking photos, shopping. And swimming.
Best travel nursing story?
I really cannot think of the so called Best. All of my travel nursing stories have been amazing and very rewarding.
What’s your favorite part of working with Stability?
The best travel nursing company I have ever worked for. I have been traveling since 2003, working with a few different travel nurse companies and by far Stabilty is the best. My recruiter Nima is always there for me, taking care of me and any of my issues or needs. Stabilty treat me as a person not just a number. They do the very best for me. The benefit and pay is amazing. I give Stabilty A+++ all the way.
What is something you bring with you (non-nursing related) to every move/placement?
Positive outlook.People say my personality. My southern accent, upbeat humor.
Any advice for future travelers?
Try it do not be afraid. The experience is so rewarding making new friends and an opportunity to go to different places. The experience and knowledge you will encounter and gain.
