What is your favorite part of travel nursing?
It’s very exciting to see new places and meet new people!
What is a place on your bucket list for a travel nursing job?
Hawaii would be incredible to work hard and play hard!
Tell us about your career history – how did you become a travel nurse?
I worked at one hospital for 3 years. I got married in June of 2021 and told my husband about a travel nurse I had met and talked to. His response was – “let’s do it!” So we packed up our bags and are enjoying traveling together!
Have you found any sort of community while travel nursing?
Us nurses have to stick together when times are tough! Travel nursing is no different. Everyone’s been super helpful and welcoming.
What are some of your favorite hobbies and activities outside of work?
My husband and I love to travel (so this job is helping with that hobby) and love to explore new places!!
What do you always pack?
We’ve gotta pack our cat! She was a little unsure of the travel life but now that she’s settled- she’s having a blast, too!
Any advice for future travelers?
Just do it!! There are so many resources for advice, housing, and how to understand the process. You won’t go through it alone!
