Permanent License:
*Registered Nurses who receive their original license on or after December 1 of odd-numbered years are not required to provide proof of continuing competency for their first renewal.
*Licensees are subject to a random mandatory audit of continuing competency. If you are selected for the audit, you will be notified in writing and given 30 days to submit proof of continuing competency claimed for the concluding licensing period.
Temporary License Time Frame: Generally issued within 10-15 business days of receipt of all required documents. The temporary license is valid for 6 months and nonrenewable
Permanent License Time-Frame: All applications have an initial review within 2-3 weeks of receipt of application. If all documents are present for the permanent license, your permanent license will be issued at this time. If documents are missing a notification will be sent to you via mail or email. If you paid for a temporary permit and one is not needed, a refund of the permit fee will be processed.
