Licensing Guide For Travel Nurses In Connecticut

Steps/Process

  1. Register a new account
  2. Complete an application for Licensure by Endorsement online
    1. You will need to upload a recent photo of yourself
  3. Verification of all RN licenses held, current and expired.
    1. If the state(s) participate in Nursys, you must complete the Nursys verification process, pay their fee and designate Connecticut as the receipt of the verification.
    2. If the state(s) does not participate in Nursys, you must contact their state Boards directly for further instructions. They will need to submit an official Verification of Licensure form to the Connecticut Board of Nursing on your behalf.
  4. Submit an official transcript if the Connecticut Board of Nursing is unable to verify your education information through your license verification (if applicable).

You are eligible to receive a temporary license while the Connecticut Board of Nursing is awaiting your official license verification (for states that do not participate in Nursys). In order to be eligible for a temporary license, you must hold an active license in another state that can be verified through Nursys.
